DNS (Domain Name System) entries allow an ip address to be represented by something easier for us to remember. An example would be www.clickcom.com which actually points to 69.84.160.50. Both the forward and the reverse records are kept, so you can actually look up 69.84.160.50 and it will return www.clickcom.com. DNS is not case sensitive.
