DSN (Data Source Names) are used for connecting your web application to a database and are used for connecting to your database if you host your site on a NT server. They allow your ASP or ColdFusion to communicate with a Microsoft SQL(tm) or Microsoft Access(tm) database.
If you would like a DSN set up for your website, please read through our requirements and suggestions:
The DSN *MUST* start with your username. It can (and should, for security) have additional characters after it.
We do not set up Microsoft Access databases with password requirements
Each hosting account may only have 2 DSN’s. Almost all database information can be kept in the same database, just in separate tables. Almost all of the time, more than one database is not required.
