I’m not receiving my email but I’m not getting any errors and I can send.
First off, reboot your computer, this will resolve the problem 90-95% of the time. If it does not log into webmail and see if there are any messages there. If there are then more than likely one of them is ‘clogging’ up your email. Sometimes it will be a spam message sometimes it is a completely legit message that causes the problem. To resolve this I perform the following steps:
- Delete any spam and/or unwanted messages first. If you are lucky you will remove the ‘problem’ message in this process and resolve the problem. If you still cannot download your email go to step 2.
- Move all remaining messages to your Drafts folder. Once your Inbox is empty move 3-5 messages back to it and do a send/receive on your email client. If the messages are successfully downloaded repeat the process. This will allow you, by process of elimination, to figure out which message is causing the problem. Once you isolate the problem message you will want to either remove it or store it in a folder other than your inbox.
